The bear was smitten. She was his dream bear and somehow he’d managed to summon the courage to ask her out. And wonder of wonders, she had said yes.
So he’d dressed in his Sunday best, bought candy, and wrapped the box himself. He’d even spent extra time tying the ribbon and making everything look just right. And to add the final touch, he’d gone out to the fields behind the commons and picked a matching posy of wildflowers.
And now he was ready, ever so ready, but he’d misjudged the time and arrived early at the agreed meeting place.
She will come, won’t she? She must, oh she just must!
And so he waits.
